INTERNATIONAL GATHERING OF INDIGENOUS NATIONS

Every year an extraordinary cultural exchange happens in the Sacred Valley communities of Pisac and Taray, Peru. Representatives from diverse Indigenous communities in Peru arrive along with delegates from all over the Americas, including Bolivia, Ecuador, Canada, New Mexico, Columbia, and Venezuela. Through the Kusi Kawsay Association, the local Nawpa Ñan cultural community organizes and hosts this 5-day Inti Raymi gathering for the intertribal collective to address indigenous issues, empowering social and environmental justice as well as sustainable living and sharing of ancestral knowledge. A space of inspiration is created for exchanging perspectives and experiences during conferences, media presentations, art shows, excursions, games and sacred ceremonies. This cultural gathering is by invitation for delegations representing Indigenous communities. When delegates return home, their communities learn and grow from the gathering, with over 10,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries annually.
Due to grant aid cuts, the Kusi Kawsay Association faced a financial shortfall in 2025 and reached out to Avalon Alliance for urgent event sponsorship support. While many delegations cover their own travel costs, with in-kind and monetary donations of the Nawpa Ñana cultural community, the organization still needs assistance to cover the total expenditures including food, transportation and logistics, materials and operating costs. Please give what you can to help this special initiative continue to serve the international Indigenous communities, protect traditional wisdom and foster solidarity and resilience. The community will conduct a gratitude blessing ceremony to appreciate this group of campaign donors.
