Donor Giving
Generosity for Projects and Causes
Most spiritual and cultural traditions around the world have teachings around the importance of income tithing and social equity in their communities. In today’s society, we can experience ourselves as one humanity interrelated with other sentient life inhabiting the planet. Not only do we need to care for those closest to us, but also for all people and nature, especially in the current global crisis. As human consciousness evolves beyond modern materialism, it is both a privilege and honour to give abundantly and be of service to others.
Not every Avalon Alliance initiative and project partnership has a business case, at least not in the early stages. Down the road with sustainable planning, good design and financial strategies in place, many such projects can become viable social enterprises. Our organization is here to engage and empower people of all backgrounds and income levels. So we need a way to build humanitarian projects and assist client partners with limited ability to contribute to the initial budget and generate the further resources required. Many environmental and biodiversity conservation efforts also urgently need donor support.
Thus Avalon has put this Donor Giving campaigns function in place to assist our worthy local and global community partners who need assistance, and to support our own professional team to get project ventures off the ground to a point where either grant funding or impact investment can be obtained.
As a group of benefit corporations, Avalon is business for good, with legal articles stating we will achieve positive impacts in all categories of public benefit. However, as we are not a registered charity, we cannot issue donors a tax receipt. Donations made through this site will be issued a general receipt of payment and our generous supporters will be thanked in unique ways.
For social or environmental emergency causes, the donations raised will be transferred to the partner organizations, after we cover our campaign marketing and administrative costs. For early stage Avalon SHIFT projects without sufficient client financial capacity, the donor giving goes towards completing professional work, securing grants and investment, and covering other operational expenses for the Avalon group and our partners.
